The cosmopolitan city of Palma is preparing to welcome a new hotel in the center of the city, and the surprise is that the author of this project is the legendary Bar Bosch, an essential classic which will soon be expanded with a restaurant and boutique hotel.

The owner of the iconic city establishment opened in 1936 will open next May the first floor of the building as a restaurant of 120 square meters overlooking the Paseo del Borne Palma from which it will offer daily specials and lunch and dinner a la carte.

Located in the heart of Palma, in Plaza Joan Carles I (better known as Plaza de las Tortugas) Bosch Bar is a great classic of the city, with many years behind that give the spirit of tradition, history and literature and with its unique terrace becomes a gallery from which to observe the busy life of people during the day and the postcard featuring the city at night and provides visitors a pleasant, welcoming and functional environment in which to enjoy their known “Llagostes” exquisite sandwiches, made with spectacular and incomparable llonguets (typical bagels of the island).

The Bar Bosch opened its doors in 1936 at the hands of Mr. Bosch, a cook at the time and since then has always remained with the same name. In 1979 Mr. Bosch sold the bar to Mr. Onofre Flexas, who went on to lead the flagship establishment of Palma. The Bosch Bar has been a meeting point for many Palma residents and people from the art world, the proof is the guestbook with more than 100 signatures of notable artists such as Joan Miró and Miquel Barceló among others.

This new five-room Boutique Hotel will join others in the area as Boutique Hotel Can Alomar, a unique building that combines the Majorcan s.XVII architecture with industrial design of the characteristic New York loft which ensures a unique experience and has recently been elected one of the 101 best hotels in the world by Condé Nast.
