Port de Sóller Festival
In recent years the public administration of the region has made significant improvements in its infrastructure such as are the recovery of marine district and the opening of the Museo del Mar in the former monastery of Santa Catalina in the Plan of Excellence within which Festival of Classical Music of Puerto de Sóller was established in 2005.

Since then the festival has been held every year in October under the artistic direction of violinist Alexander Malter and organization of hotelier Jos Kuiper and participation of internationally renowned artists such as violinist Rainer Sonne, the Vincent Trio of Philharmonica Orchestra of Berlin, baritone Nikolay Borchev among many others.
