The year that is about to begin will bring a new surprise for the city of Palma, the opening of the first and unique Joan Miró Hotel in the world, thanks to the agreement reached between the owner of the establishment and the estate of Joan Miró.

The hotel will be located in the current Dali Hotel, close to the Marivent Palace and just a few minutes walk from the beach of Cala Mayor and the Paseo Maritimo in Palma and will be marketed under the name of Joan Miró Museum Hotel. The property’s staff will be trained by the representative of Successió Miró, Joan Miró Punyet, so that they know the artist’s life, work and career. It has been confirmed that the artist’s works will be exhibited in the hotel, intended as an innovative and unique accommodation in Palma offering customers and visitors a special and totally different experience.

At present the hotel is undergoing restructuring and redesign of the facilities in order to increase its category from three to four stars. The design of the facility and its 97 rooms has been developed by the Mallorcan interior designer Xisco Gayá, Design and intervention in tourism and hotel space specialist, in collaboration with the Successió Miró , an entity created in 1996 by the Community of Heirs of Joan Miró to administer the royalties generated by his work in the Spanish territory. In addition, all food products served at the hotel will be labeled with the brand Miró. Undoubtedly, this is a project that will have a significant impact on the international level, both for its location as be considered pioneer in the hotel history of Mallorca and Spain in general.
