Recently, the prestigious travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has made a list of 10 towns that are worth visiting in the Balearics, it is an article about the most beautiful villages in Baleares among which are 5 villages of Mallorca, all located in the North of the island.

Sóller
Known as the “Valle de los Naranjos” the valley of Sóller is located in the northwest of Maallorca in the Serra de Tramuntana (World Heritage Site). Soller is a cosmopolitan and international destination mainly demanded by visitors seeking a peaceful and elegant setting in which to enjoy hiking and breathtaking landscapes of mountains and sea. Its train and tram are its most recognizable symbols. It is a town characterized by its modernist architecture and its constant cultural promotion. Signs of this are the Museum of Ca’n Prunera , the Church of St. Bartholomew Baroque and Art Deco façade structure and the Bank of Sóller. Deià
Deia is a small picturesque village located in the northwest of the Serra de Tramuntana, covering 5 kilometers of coastline, including Sa Foradada, Cala de Deià and the small Cala de Llucalcari. Deia is a meeting point for artists and lovers bohemian lifestyle in summer and winter hikers. It is also famous among celebrities, many of whom have acquired properties in the municipality. Its main features are quiet and clean air, which ended up turning it into a magnet for artists and writers such as Robert Graves and William Walder, founder of the archaeological museum. This population has maintained its unique charm and has a cosmopolitan and multicultural population that works to preserve the privileged natural environment that offers.

Pollensa
Northern Mallorca

Fornalutx
This village is defined a historic plated stone staircase with steep streets adorned with flowers and shrubs. As a distinctive feature, its tiles painted with colorful drawings makes looking up has a pleasant surprise. The monumental touch gives its Casa de la Villa, with its imposing tower defense, and the eclectic parochial church.

Valldemossa
Valldemossa is in the middle of a valley, that is why its streets are humble but happy, full of rural charm, good vibes and paved floors. However, here you get to know its famous monastery, place of temporary residence of great artists and writers such as Unamuno, Ruben Dario, Borges and the mediatic: Chopin. All around the houses have been populated with other current artists making a simple visit to a village a discovery which includes many small studies or craft stores.
