Good news, has begun the process to declare Es Trenc – Salobrar like natural park !!

Recently it has been known that the Department of Environment, Agriculture and Fisheries has begun the processing of the preliminary bill to declare natural park Trenc – Salobrar in Campos, one of the coastal systems of greatest ecological value of the Mediterranean coast that will give continuity to the Cabrera park. It is without doubt one of the most emblematic natural spaces of the Balearic Islands in ecological and landscape. No doubt that Mallorca amazes friends and strangers by the wonders of nature parks, which are many and varied given the size of the island. The symbolism of its ecosystems and the uniqueness of its fauna and flora, are the reasons why nature lovers can not miss visiting these protected areas.

Parque Nacional Marítimo Terrestre del Archipiélago de Cabrera: From the Colonia de Sant Jordi (Ses Salines) and Portopetro (Santanyi) depart every day during the summer tourist boats that provide insight into the richness of this island. The visit is limited to certain trails and some coves that leave appreciate the species that inhabit this park, as the Audouin gull, osprey or lizard. But undoubtedly the fauna and flora that is underwater is the most surprising.

Serra de Tramuntana (World Heritage Site by Unesco), is located in northern Mallorca occupying part of the municipalities of Alaró, Andratx, Banyalbufar, Bunyola, Calvià, Campanet, Deià , Escorca, Esporles, Estellencs Fornalutx, Lloseta, Mancor de la Vall, Palma, Pollença, Puigpunyent, Santa Maria, Selva, Soller and Valldemossa. It is characterized by the diversity of its landscape, its rich vegetation and fauna. The coastline of the Serra presents oceanic Posidonia meadows. The coastal towns in the mountains, coves, roads, possessions or viewpoints leave the traveler marveling at its extreme beauty.

S’Albufera Natural Park: Access to the park is on foot or by bicycle by Pont del Anglesos. Water is the basis of the biological wealth of S’Albufera. Water and soil moisture allow continuous growth of vegetation, which varies with depth, proximity to the sea and type of terrain.

Mondragó Natural Park: located on the southeast coast of Mallorca, in the navies of Levante, in the municipality of Santanyí, of great ecological value, it has a variety of landscapes and also rich in flora and fauna. A European directive has declared Special Protection Area, where they have cataloged more than 70 species.

Sa Dragonera Natural Park: Sa Dragonera has identified 361 plant species in total, of which 18 are endemic of Balearic distribution. Three paths cross the island that offers the possibility to know the wildlife while enjoying the views of the west coast of the island of Mallorca. In the same port of the island, it is the interpretation center where we can learn a little more about the rich diversity of this park.
