EMIFF is the most competitive film festival<\/b> in the Mediterranean celebrated in Mallorca, since its firt edition in 2012 ticket sales have tripled.<\/h2>\n

This Festival, founded and directed by Sandra Seeling Lipski<\/strong>, is becoming an international launching pad for promising new talent in all generes and the island is becomes the perfect stage for it. Mallorca\u2019s wonderful environment, its history and its rich cultural legacy infuses the festival with a distinctive flair.<\/p>\n

The fourth edition of EMIFF<\/a> will be held in Palma during the first half of November, and again bring together the most provocative and innovative productions that show special attention to social issues. The first registration period films and short ends on 1 April and October the selected titles were published. This year EMIFF has expanded its categories including music videos, animated films and experimental cinema. In addition, it allocates a special section for films made in the Balearics, and created the second Evolutionary Island Award to recognize the best production bearing the image of the Islands to the world. Not surprisingly the EMIFF known as the Mallorcan Sundance.<\/p>\n

Other activities of the Festival are a Casting-Workshop with Iris Baum\u00fcller & Tina Thiele and other workshop with the voice coach Carmen Molinar. The festival locations are in Palma. The Opening Night takes place at Teatro Principal, all screenings take place at the Cinema Ciutat<\/b>, Rialto Living<\/b> and Es Baluard Museum<\/b> in Palma Old Town.<\/p>\n
