A weekend in Palma

Last weekend there have been several events that have once again placed Palma on the top of the cities with the best leisure and culture offer.
One of them was the first edition of BIG VAN, the first Street Food Festival made in Mallorca that joins the most famous street food trend in European capitals and the United States that promote the culinary creativity on wheels, the possibility of leaving restaurants to offer their food out of their kitchens, improvising tables in the streets and parks of the city. The event took place on Saturday May 16 in the outdoor contemporary art center ES BALUARD in Palma Old Town  in which street food, concerts, DJ sessions, live cooking show and the best atmosphere of the city were offered.

The gastronomic possibilities offered passed by ecological and vegetarian food by Xiribio, the Manduka angus burgers caravan, hotdogs cooked by Koldo Royo, tacos stuffed with porc negre by La Pickup, the variety of sweets of Cakes Anita, and the ice-creams, orangeade and lemonade from Glace Moustache, a caravan of 1964 acquired in Belgium. No doubt a great success that will repeat in Mallorca.

Other events that have taken place this weekend had to do with the celebration May 18, International Museum Day, which is why the centers of the island have offered various activities to commemorate this day.
One proposal ended up in the Museum Es Baluard in Palma, which was the scene of photo marathon organized by the Centre under the title Visions of sustainability from Baluard.
Similarly, the Museu Sa Bassa Blanca in Alcudia, held an open day, specifically in Nins and Sokrates spaces, and could also visit its rose garden.
